Internship, Electrical & Industrial Service Design Engineer, Energy Engineering (Winter/Spring 2025)

This position is an internship at Tesla starting in January 2025, focusing on electrical engineering activities for the Energy Products design team.

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers
• Design wireless/wired communication systems and circuits
• Read and create electrical schematics
• Diagnose and resolve product issues
• Design and deploy Tesla energy product factory lines
• Work on firmware/software-enabled systems
• Assist in the rapid development and maintenance of Tesla’s Energy storage and charging solutions

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
• Familiarity with DSPs, microcontrollers, and programmable logic devices
• Experience with Altium, LTspice, Matlab, Python
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing PCBAs
• Strong engineering fundamentals applied to firmware/software-enabled systems
• Understanding of key analog components and proficiency with lab equipment
• Hands-on experience, preferably with high-volume and pilot manufacturing experience
