Mechanical Engineer

The position is for a Mechanical Engineer at Legrand in Anaheim, CA, focusing on the Data Center Power & Control Division. The role involves managing and creating manufacturing packages for custom-configured cabinet assemblies and developing Bills of Material.

• Manage and create manufacturing packages for custom-configured cabinet assemblies.
• Develop Bills of Material and setting component routings in ERP.
• Evaluate customer requirements outlined in various sales documents.
• Estimate engineering lead time required for all projects.
• Design custom accessories in accordance with the EIA-310 standards.
• Support production team in troubleshooting issues.
• Interface directly with regulatory agencies such as UL and assist in testing.

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s in Engineering is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of sheet metal-based product fabrication methods.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Solid Works.
• Extensive knowledge of drafting, tolerances, and documentation practices.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to work effectively in a team-based environment.
