Senior Mechanical NPI Engineer

Apptronik is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of new robotic systems focusing on Design for Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, Service, and Cost.

• Lead the initiative on Design for Manufacturing, quality, sourcing, servicing, and costing principles
• Reduce product part count and/or BOM cost
• Identify and redesign machined (CNC) parts into single cast + post-processed part
• Conduct manufacturing readiness assessments
• Oversee the transition of new products and processes from engineering to manufacturing and supply chain

• B.S in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or New Product Introduction
• Experience in electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
• Experience with DFX, FMEA, DOE, and continual process improvement
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Prior project management experience
