Mechanical Design Engineer, Vehicle Integration

The role involves working in Tesla's Product Design Integration team, contributing to the establishment of product architecture and layout, considering various product attributes across Tesla programs.

• Mechanical design and packaging of components to meet product and system level requirements
• Leading product integration reviews and mediating trade-off situations
• Developing packaging master sections and supporting surface development
• Executing virtual builds, physical prototypes, and pre-series production
• Managing top-level product CAD and BOM, ensuring CAD completeness and compatibility

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in vehicle system integration and packaging
• Strong understanding of design principles for functional vehicle systems
• Knowledge of part manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in design, packaging, and 3D modeling, CATIA experience preferred
• Problem-solving and communication skills
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
