Mechanical R&D Engineer

Siemens is seeking a Mechanical R&D Engineer to lead new product development projects for Low Voltage Switchgear in Grand Prairie, TX.

• Lead new product development projects using Creo.
• Create design concepts and perform trade-off studies.
• Manage project scope, schedules, and costs.
• Prepare prototypes for testing and execute test plans.
• Work with cross-functional teams to drive projects to completion.
• Create part and assembly drawings, BOMs, and Engineering Change Notices.

• BSME degree.
• 3 - 8 years of experience in new product development engineering.
• Proficiency in Creo or similar 3D modeling software.
• Strong knowledge of DFM, DFA, product design, and testing.
• Hands-on prototyping experience.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Preferred: FEA and CFD simulation expertise, MSME, switchgear design experience, creative thinking, and knowledge of modular design methodology.
