The role involves designing, analyzing, developing, and qualifying flow control devices for the Aeon R engine and Terran R launch vehicle at Relativity Space.

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze clean sheet of cryogenic, pneumatic, proportional, or solenoid valves
  • Conduct detailed fluid, thermal, and structural analysis of piece parts and assemblies
  • Plan and execute development and qualification tests for internally developed valves
  • Provide engine and vehicle test support for existing flow control products
  • Conduct trade studies to produce architectures and designs that meet system requirements

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical or related)
  • Experience in applying thermodynamics, structures, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Matlab, Python, or C++
  • Familiarity with CFD and FEA tools (ANSYS)
  • Ability to collaborate with various teams and disciplines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
