Avionics Design Engineer (Harness)

SpaceX is seeking an Avionics Design Engineer (Harness) to work on the Starlink project, focusing on designing wire harnesses for their advanced broadband internet system.

• Develop wire harness designs for Starlink vehicles
• Create electrical schematics for flight and qualification designs
• Perform analysis and testing of harnessing for thermal, loads, vibration, and shock
• Document design, analysis, and testing results thoroughly
• Interface with production and integration teams for harness designs
• Conduct R&D investigations to enhance wire harness design

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
• Experience with CAD and FEA software packages
• Proficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Understanding of structural analysis and failure modes of mechanical systems
• Self-motivated with strong communication skills
• Ability to work long hours and travel up to 30% of the time
