Puget Sound Energy is seeking an Engineer II - Substation Controls to join their Engineering Operations team, responsible for designing control systems for substations containing voltages of 12kV and above.
Responsibilities
- Work on projects with multiple interrelated elements.
- Interpret requirements and apply engineering principles.
- Create cost estimates and provide economic analysis for projects.
- Ensure compliance with codes and standards.
- Support emergency response work.
- Coordinate the work of engineering assistants or technicians.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree or PE license in relevant engineering field.
- 3 or more years of experience in planning, design, and technical field work.
- Organization, documentation, prioritization, and project management skills.
- Experience working with internal and external customers on projects.
- Familiarity with utility systems design and operation.
- Knowledge of engineering economics and utility accounting practices.
- MicroStation or AutoCAD experience.
