Automation Engineer

The Automation Engineer in the Production Engineering Group supports the implementation of automation systems in a clinical diagnostics laboratory.

• Program and deploy liquid handling robots
• Troubleshoot and maintain liquid handling robots and work cells
• Collaborate with end-users and engineering colleagues
• Optimize, support, and test automation systems
• Complete documentation using good practices
• Prepare User Requirement and Testing Procedure documents
• Perform functional testing and qualification

• BS degree in Biomedical engineering or related field; MS preferred
• 2+ years of laboratory automation engineering experience
• Technical proficiency in automation and systems development for life science industry
• Experience in computer programming
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Flexibility to support multiple automation projects
• Biotech, pharmaceutical, or clinical-laboratory experience is desirable
