Electrical Engineer

Pyka is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to various hardware projects related to autonomous electric aviation.

• Design and select components for high power motor controller hardware
• Develop embedded system designs and write code for microprocessor based systems
• Understand and apply different motor control algorithms
• Complete the entire PCBA design cycle and work with manufacturers
• Test and validate designs for performance and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for aircraft integration and testing
• Travel occasionally to customer sites for support and debugging

• 3-7 years of experience in designing and testing high power motor controllers
• Experience with power electronics systems and safety critical systems
• Proficiency in schematic design and PCB layout tools
• Willingness to travel internationally
• Strong research skills and ability to quickly master new subjects
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate with team members
