Mechanical Engineer 2

The role is for a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Lam Research in Fremont, CA, focusing on innovative solutions in the semiconductor industry.

• Responsible for mechanical design, analysis, and evaluation of Mechatronics products
• Work within cross-functional teams to develop product specifications and deliver solutions
• Utilize rapid prototyping and work hands-on in the lab
• Collaborate with suppliers and drive technical innovation
• Develop test criteria and equipment for automated testing
• Conduct failure analysis and drive continual improvement
• Address safety issues, respond to customer requests, and create technical presentations

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree or 3 years industry experience for level 2
• Strong design background with 3D CAD tools proficiency
• Analytical skills including FEA applications
• Hands-on testing experience and familiarity with manufacturing methods
• Ability to work in a team environment with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
