Electrical Design Engineer

The role involves working as an Electrical Design Engineer at an early-stage start-up focused on building efficient and reusable rockets to increase access to space.

• Lead the design, procurement, development, qualification, and integration of avionics components
• Perform component selection, design analysis, prototyping, debugging, and design documentation for electrical designs
• Assist with electrical architecture, product requirements, manufacturing planning, and production test
• Execute development and qualification testing campaigns for reliable flight hardware
• Collaborate with experts from other teams to ensure efficient and reliable systems

• B.S. degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in designing, building, or testing circuit boards or electronics
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Experience with signal conditioning, analog circuits, digital circuits, and power converters
• Familiarity with schematic capture, board layout, circuit simulation tools, and lab equipment
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and leadership abilities
• Understanding of EMI/EMC, design-for-manufacture, and design-for-cost practices
