Hardware Engineer, PCBA Manufacturing (Starlink)

SpaceX is seeking a Hardware Engineer for PCBA Manufacturing to support the Starlink project, aiming to provide advanced broadband internet globally.

• Own and manage PCBA processes and products for in-house production
• Drive volume production processes for PCBA including nonconforming product management and process control
• Manage new product introduction of PCBA assemblies and work closely with design engineers
• Track schedule, work-in-progress levels, and defect rates of owned products
• Identify trends for optimizing product output, quality enhancements, and cost of manufacturability
• Drive corrective actions and process improvements on owned processes and products

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• 1+ years of professional experience in manufacturing processes or related areas
• Experience with SMT processing, accelerated testing, or PCB design and layout
• Knowledge of statistical techniques, IPC manufacturing standards, SQL, Python, and Six Sigma
• Hands-on experience in SMT processing and failure analysis tools
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously or in a team
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work weekends or extended hours if needed
