Development Test Engineer

The role is for a Development Test Engineer at SpaceX, working on testing and developing new products to enable human life on Mars.

• Create test stand concepts, fabrication drawings, wiring schematics, and instrumentation lists
• Design and analyze structures, fluid systems, and mechanisms
• Supervise the integration of test stands including fabrication, mechanical assembly and data/control systems
• Operate test stands with great attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
• 1+ years of experience in involvement with mechanical structures
• Master's degree in mechanical engineering or other engineering discipline (preferred)
• Understanding and proper application of GD&T
• Experience with Unigraphics (NX) and FEA
• Hands-on design and fabrication experience
• Basic programming skills and data acquisition experience
