Propulsion Engineer, Components (Raptor)

SpaceX is seeking a Propulsion Engineer for the Raptor Components team to develop advanced engine control components for the Raptor engine.

• Develop state-of-the-art flow control devices
• Implement thorough component testing
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions
• Set standards for component design and qualification testing
• Generate detailed drawings and specifications
• Collaborate with various teams to achieve program goals
• Inform system-level architecture decisions

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics
• 1+ years of experience in designing and analyzing mechanical systems
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills
• Master's degree or additional experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems and fluid/gas control
• This role involves developing cutting-edge hardware components for SpaceX's Raptor engine, requiring expertise in mechanical engineering and experience in designing and testing mechanical systems.
