Mechanical Design Engineer (Falcon)

The role is for a Mechanical Design Engineer at SpaceX working on the Falcon team to develop reusable launch vehicles.

• Own primary and secondary structures, mechanisms, and/or fluid systems for Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy vehicles.
• Use hand calculations, FEA, and CAD to ensure hardware meets requirements.
• Lead design reviews and qualifications.
• Act as a technical interface with suppliers and customers.
• Manage hardware delivery from inception to re-use.

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• Experience with CAD or FEA software.
• Hands-on hardware experience in fabrication, assembly, and testing.
• Ability to work longer hours and weekends when needed.
• Willingness to travel for hardware test and launch support.
• U.S. citizenship or eligibility to obtain required authorizations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
