Manufacturing Engineer (Starship Components)

The role is for a Manufacturing Engineer in the Starship Components Manufacturing team at SpaceX, responsible for developing flow control devices and mechanisms for Starship/Super Heavy.

• Design state-of-the-art flow control devices and mechanisms for Starship and Super Heavy
• Collaborate with internal and external teams for manufacturability of parts
• Maintain work instructions, track defects, and implement acceptance testing
• Support component level testing and production yield investigations
• Target zero workmanship defects and increase factory scrutiny

• Bachelor’s degree in physics or engineering
• 1+ years of mechanical design/manufacturing experience
• Experience with fluid and electromechanical components
• Proficiency in fluid dynamics, mechanics, and materials
• Knowledge of fluid schematics, engineering drawings, and software development
• Ability to travel and work long hours as needed
