Product Design Mechanical Engineer

Samsara is seeking a Senior Hardware Product Design Mechanical Engineer to join their team and work on designing and developing products for the Samsara platform.

• Design, build, and ship impactful products
• Evaluate system feature tradeoffs and define product specifications
• Drive the development process through all phases
• Validate products against internal and external metrics
• Own the full customer hardware experience
• Leverage manufacturing partners to achieve goals
• Research industry trends to drive product innovation

• 3+ years of experience in shipping hardware programs at scale
• Proven record navigating tradeoffs in a cross-functional environment
• Experience in developing and launching electromechanical components
• Proficiency in plastic/metal part design and CAD modeling
• BS degree in mechanical engineering or related field
• Ability to travel up to 10% when necessary
• Hybrid onsite presence in San Francisco Headquarters
