Sr. Innovation and Design Engineer, Worldwide Design Engineering

The role involves designing world-class fulfillment centers and logistics systems, collaborating with internal and external teams, owning multiple projects, and overseeing the installation and commissioning of projects related to automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and robotics.

• Collaborate with internal and external teams for designing solutions
• Own multiple projects from concept realization through design approval
• Act as the primary technical contact for suppliers
• Support Ops Engineering team during installation and commissioning
• Work on green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits projects
• Work in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
• Work on high-impact and high-visibility projects

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or 5+ years Amazon experience
• 5+ years of experience in Design/Innovation Engineering, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering, or related
• Experience managing engineering design projects
• Proficiency in software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software
• Master’s degree preferred with at least five years of experience in the specialty
• Experience with automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, robotics, and/or high-speed manufacturing
• Ability to travel 20%, including globally
