Systems Engineer

Zoox is seeking Systems Engineers to work on the System Design and Mission Assurance (SDMA) team, focusing on constructing the Safety Case and ensuring the safety of autonomous vehicles.

• Define safety requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-level safety issues
• Contribute to documentation efforts for the Safety Case
• Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve system requirements and functionality

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering or related field
• At least 3 years of industry experience or relevant PhD
• Strong skills in systems engineering, quantitative analysis, and reliability engineering
• Proficiency in probability theory and clear requirement writing
• Experience with safety standards related to autonomous vehicles is a plus
