Tau is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join their team in advancing technology for electrification.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build hardware for power electronics converters in automotive and energy storage applications
  • Oversee the entire hardware process from specification to manufacturing
  • Collaborate with various engineering teams to design and validate power converters
  • Develop new power converter topologies for improved performance
  • Contribute to Tau's intellectual property in power electronic systems

Job Requirements

  • 3-10 years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong understanding of power electronics topologies and semiconductor selection
  • Experience with high voltage power semiconductor design and modulation schemes
  • Proficiency in tools such as PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink, and dSPACE
  • Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout, and power converter simulation
  • Familiarity with magnetics and capacitors used in power conversion
  • Hands-on experience with EE tools and circuit simulation
