Systems Engineer

Zipline is seeking a Systems Engineer to work on perception-enabled autonomous systems for instant delivery and logistics.

• Serve as a trusted technical expert for high-reliability autonomous systems
• Define autonomy system requirements and drive cross-disciplinary discussions
• Develop frameworks to optimize performance, safety, and cost
• Set hardware and software release standards and test requirements
• Partner with safety engineering and regulatory team for flight worthiness

• 5+ years of experience in delivering perception-enabled autonomous products
• Ability to solve complex multidisciplinary problems independently
• Knowledge of designing systems resilient to harsh environments
• Experience with fail-safe fault-tolerant and fail-operative modes
• Track record in implementing requirements and achieving regulatory approvals
