Responsibilities
- Design, build, and run electro-mechanical testers for components like batteries, motors, and propellers.
- Design tests and their setups, including instrumentation and data acquisition.
- Use CAD tools to design parts, assemblies, and fixtures.
- Develop concepts and evaluate tradeoffs using a first principles approach.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to review designs and root cause failures.
- Document work for clarity and understanding.
- Gather quick learnings by designing, building, and testing prototypes.
Job Requirements
- Experience designing and building mechatronics systems outside the classroom.
- Solid mechanical engineering fundamentals for part sizing and integration.
- Automation experience with actuators and Raspberry Pi or similar.
- Proficiency in CAD with multiple design projects.
- Experience with complex projects involving mechanical, electrical, and software design.
- Ability to adapt quickly and communicate effectively with the team.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude.
