Responsibilities
- Develop concepts and evaluate tradeoffs based on product and engineering requirements.
- Use 2D and 3D CAD tools to design parts and assemblies.
- Design, build, and test prototypes to gather quick learnings.
- Collaborate with other teams and suppliers to review designs.
- Design and run electro-mechanical testers for reliability of components.
- Root cause failures and develop tests to replicate failure modes.
- Document work to ensure clarity in decision-making.
Job Requirements
- Completed at least the second year of Undergraduate studies; Masters and PhD students eligible.
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals for part sizing and integration.
- Experience with automation, actuators, and Raspberry Pi’s or similar.
- Proficient in CAD with multiple design projects.
- Experience working on complex projects involving mechanical, electrical, and software design.
- Ability to adapt quickly and communicate effectively with the team.
- Strong problem-solving attitude and ability to anticipate and plan work.
