Responsibilities
- Develop concepts and evaluate tradeoffs based on product and engineering requirements.
- Design parts and assemblies using 2D and 3D CAD tools.
- Build and test prototypes to gather insights quickly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to review designs.
- Create and run electro-mechanical testers to ensure reliability of components.
- Root cause failures and develop tests to replicate failure modes.
- Document work to communicate key decisions effectively.
Job Requirements
- Completed at least the second year of undergraduate studies; Masters and PhD students eligible.
- Solid mechanical engineering fundamentals for sizing and integrating parts.
- Experience with automation and working with actuators and Raspberry Pi’s.
- Proficiency in CAD with experience in multiple design projects.
- Background in complex projects involving mechanical, electrical, and software design.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to plan, schedule, and anticipate project needs effectively.
