Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts and evaluate tradeoffs based on product and engineering requirements.
  • Design parts and assemblies using 2D and 3D CAD tools.
  • Build and test prototypes to gather insights quickly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to review designs.
  • Create and run electro-mechanical testers to ensure reliability of components.
  • Root cause failures and develop tests to replicate failure modes.
  • Document work to communicate key decisions effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Completed at least the second year of undergraduate studies; Masters and PhD students eligible.
  • Solid mechanical engineering fundamentals for sizing and integrating parts.
  • Experience with automation and working with actuators and Raspberry Pi’s.
  • Proficiency in CAD with experience in multiple design projects.
  • Background in complex projects involving mechanical, electrical, and software design.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and anticipate project needs effectively.
