Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts and evaluate trade-offs based on product and engineering requirements.
  • Use CAD tools to design parts and assemblies.
  • Design, build, and test prototypes to gather quick learnings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review designs.
  • Create and run electro-mechanical testers for reliability of components.
  • Root cause failures and develop tests to replicate failure modes.
  • Document work to ensure clarity on key decisions made.

Job Requirements

  • Completed at least the second year of Undergraduate studies; Masters and PhD students eligible.
  • Solid mechanical engineering fundamentals for sizing parts and design integration.
  • Experience with automation and working with actuators and Raspberry Pi’s.
  • Proficiency in CAD with multiple project designs.
  • Experience on complex projects requiring mechanical, electrical, and software design.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and communicate effectively with the team.
  • Strong problem-solving attitude and ability to anticipate and plan work.
