Responsibilities
- Create and revise detailed 2D drawings from 3D CAD models in SolidWorks
- Apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 standards
- Generate assembly drawings using industry standard detail and exploded views
- Prepare and update BOMs with correct part numbers, materials, and quantities
- Follow engineering change processes to maintain configuration control
- Work closely with engineers to translate conceptual designs into production-ready documentation
- Assist in creating tooling or fixturing drawings for manufacturing processes
Job Requirements
- Associate degree or diploma in mechanical drafting, engineering technology, CAD, or related field
- 5+ years of experience as a mechanical designer or drafter
- Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD and 2D drafting tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
- Understanding of aerospace manufacturing methods
- Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems for revision control
- Ability to obtain security clearance and work onsite full time
