Responsibilities
- Perform failure analysis on explanted long-term biomedical implant products.
- Identify root cause failure mechanisms using analytical techniques.
- Meet deadlines on multiple assignments in a cross-functional team environment.
- Proactively find quality improvements related to failure analysis.
- Mentor less experienced personnel and assign work as needed.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product Surveillance.
- Comply with FDA regulations and support quality management systems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
- Electrical or Biomedical Engineering preferred.
- Engineering work experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical device reporting and terminology is a plus.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and investigations simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
