Responsibilities
- Define and execute design verification test plans for electronic and mechatronic flight hardware.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve hardware reliability.
- Analyze lab test data and field data to calculate failure rates and recommend design improvements.
- Write or adapt computer scripts to perform tests and analyze data.
- Perform root cause analysis and failure analysis.
- Work closely with product management and design engineering teams.
- Communicate technical recommendations to stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline; M.S. or Ph.D. preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in hardware reliability, design, or failure analysis.
- Familiarity with reliability test standards and methods.
- Extensive experience with reliability engineering principles.
- Proficient in reliability test methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with hardware assembly and inspection.
- Working knowledge of a programming language (preferably Python).
