Responsibilities
- Define and execute design verification test plans for electronic and mechatronic flight hardware.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve hardware reliability based on standards and test data.
- Analyze lab and field test data to calculate failure rates and recommend design improvements.
- Write or adapt computer scripts for testing and data analysis.
- Perform root cause and failure analysis.
- Work with external testing labs to define and complete testing.
- Communicate test plans, results, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline; M.S or PhD preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in hardware reliability, design, or failure analysis.
- Familiarity with reliability test standards and methods in consumer, automotive, and/or aerospace fields.
- Extensive knowledge of reliability engineering principles and methodologies.
- Experience with assembling, inspecting, and modifying hardware.
- Proficient in a programming language (preferably Python).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
