Responsibilities
- Define and execute design verification test plans for electronic and mechatronic flight hardware.
- Collaborate with development teams to enhance hardware reliability.
- Analyze lab and field test data to calculate failure rates and suggest design improvements.
- Write or adapt computer scripts for testing and data analysis.
- Perform root cause analysis and failure analysis.
- Work with external testing labs to complete testing.
- Communicate test plans, results, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline; M.S. or PhD preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in hardware reliability, design, or failure analysis.
- Familiarity with reliability test standards and methods in consumer, automotive, and aerospace sectors.
- Extensive knowledge of reliability engineering principles.
- Proficient in various reliability test methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with hardware assembly and inspection.
- Working knowledge of a programming language, preferably Python.
