Responsibilities
- Brainstorm creative solutions to mechanical, manufacturing, and mechatronic problems.
- Design elements of the aircraft and/or ground support infrastructure in CAD.
- Sketch, design, build and test prototypes or proof of concepts.
- Perform detailed design of manufacturing-ready parts in CAD.
- Complete engineering analysis from hand-calcs to FEA, ensuring assemblies are flight-ready.
- Collaborate with teammates to push for simple and elegant assemblies.
- Interface with manufacturing, electrical, UX, and other teams at Wing.
Job Requirements
- BSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of full-time professional industry experience.
- Proficient in CAD software and EPDM (SolidWorks preferred).
- Experience in designing robust mechanical assemblies and thermal solutions for manufacturing.
- Knowledge of rapid prototyping fabrication and test methods.
- Ability to work independently and navigate trade spaces within tight timelines.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across functional teams.
