Responsibilities
- Implement design changes to improve product reliability, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
- Potentially manage 1-3 engineers, providing mentorship and career development guidance.
- Prototyping, debugging, and analysis using standard lab equipment and techniques.
- Schematic capture and PCB layout of electrical circuits for mass production.
- Maintain thorough documentation of design changes, test results, and validation processes.
- Support manufacturing and supply chain partnerships, including managing external contractors.
- Develop and execute verification & validation plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Job Requirements
- BS or greater in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in relevant fields.
- Strong fundamentals in circuit design, power supply design, and digital communication protocols.
- Experience with schematic capture and layout design.
- Familiarity with ECAD tools like Altium and lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in developing high reliability battery-powered consumer electronics is preferred.
