New Grad! Mechanical Engineer I

The role is for a New Grad Mechanical Engineer I at Westinghouse, focusing on supporting nuclear power plants through various engineering tasks.

• Perform engineering work in support of nuclear power plants
• Engage in software programming including Visual Studio
• Conduct structural evaluations of ASME Section III components
• Perform fracture mechanics analysis including probabilistic fracture mechanics
• Utilize finite element analysis (FEA) using ANSYS
• Collaborate with the Reactor Vessel / Containment Vessel Design & Analysis Team
• Support the company's mission for clean energy solutions

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred
• Experience with ASME Section III and Section XI criteria preferred
• Familiarity with ASTM Code preferred
• Experience with FEA and ANSYS/ABAQUS preferred
• Interest in clean energy solutions
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
