Responsibilities
- Perform design and analyses for nuclear reactor component repairs and modifications.
- Utilize analysis tools, including finite element simulations and engineering calculations, for component qualification.
- Collaborate with component, system, and manufacturing leads to integrate subsystems and resolve design issues.
- Develop project schedules in coordination with project managers and subsystem/component leads.
- Identify technical risks and challenges and direct efforts toward resolution.
- Apply industry and regulatory codes relevant to nuclear reactor design activities.
- Provide technical guidance and collaborate with partners, subcontractors, and customers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Engineering Mechanics, or Aerospace preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in component structural analysis or thermo hydraulics.
- Successful completion of the EIT exam is required.
- Preferred experience with ASME Section III criteria.
- Familiarity with FEA and ANSYS/ABAQUS is preferred.
- Knowledge of nuclear plant primary systems is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under time-sensitive conditions.
