Responsibilities
- Perform design and analyses for reactor component engineering.
- Utilize analysis tools like finite element simulations and engineering calculations for component design qualification.
- Collaborate with component, system, and manufacturing leads to address design issues.
- Work with project managers to develop project schedules.
- Identify technical risks and direct efforts towards resolution.
- Apply industry codes and standards relevant to nuclear reactors in design activities.
- Provide technical guidance and collaborate with partners, subcontractors, and customers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Engineering Mechanics, or Aerospace Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in component structural analysis or thermo hydraulics.
- Successful completion of the EIT exam is required.
- Preferred experience with ASME Section III criteria.
- Familiarity with FEA and ANSYS/ABAQUS is preferred.
- Knowledge of nuclear plant primary systems is preferred.
