Responsibilities
- Design and optimize manufacturing processes and production lines for desalination systems.
- Lead initiatives for design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to select equipment and define production metrics.
- Develop work instructions, process flows, and layout designs for new manufacturing methods.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs and increase throughput.
- Work with procurement, quality, and integration teams to ensure smooth manufacturing scale-up.
- Engage in hands-on work with operators and equipment to validate processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or equivalent).
- 2+ years of professional experience in manufacturing engineering or process development.
- Strong CAD experience and familiarity with manufacturing automation.
- Hands-on mindset with problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred experience in consumer hardware production and knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical process control.
- Experience in a hardware startup or mission-driven organization.
