Responsibilities
- Design and optimize manufacturing processes and production lines for desalination systems.
- Lead DFM/DFA initiatives including tooling, fixtures, and automation programming.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define equipment selection, cycle-times, and quality metrics.
- Develop work instructions, process flows, and layout designs for new systems.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs and increase throughput.
- Work with procurement, quality, and external vendors to facilitate manufacturing scale-up.
- Engage in hands-on work with development hardware and support operators in the manufacturing process.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or equivalent).
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or process development.
- Strong CAD experience and familiarity with manufacturing automation.
- Hands-on mindset with problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred experience in consumer hardware production and knowledge of mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and statistical process control.
- Ability to work onsite in Torrance, CA.
