Responsibilities
- Design, build, and validate test stands for the sensor development team
- Coordinate with Embedded Software, ECLSS Test, and AVI Test teams for sensor requirements
- Participate in sensor design for the Haven program
- Contribute unique ideas to environmental sensing in low-earth orbit
- Support flight software firmware and mission CONOPs
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams
- Ensure project milestones are met effectively
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields
- Project or coursework experience in designing, building, and testing sensors
- 1+ years experience preferred in sensor design and testing
- Hands-on experience with various scientific instrumentation
- Comfortable using Python for data analysis
- Experience with CAD for 3D printing
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment and adapt to changes
