Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing process development and champion industry best practices
- Drive Design for Manufacture and Assembly principles throughout the product lifecycle
- Accelerate manufacturing capabilities with a focus on quality, capacity, scalability, ergonomics, and automation
- Implement continuous improvement in collaboration with design engineering, quality, and build technicians
- Take a hands-on role in manufacturing processes, including prototype builds and tooling design
- Data review and disposition of hardware and assemblies
- Own manufacturing BOMs, routings, process planning, and process change management
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering
- 1 - 3+ years of experience in design or manufacturing of aerospace hardware
- Experience with tool design and CAD software (NX, Creo)
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and ERP systems
- Experience developing work instructions and process specifications
- Hands-on experience with assembly and test in production environments
- Knowledge of inspection methods and GD&T per ASME Y14.5
