Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing project files, engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models.
- Develop tool cutter lists for effective material removal.
- Establish tool cutter speeds and feeds based on recommendations and tests.
- Create quality toolpath strategies using CAD-CAM software for efficient machining.
- Identify improvements to manufacturing processes and methods.
- Manage multiple projects and delivery dates.
- Communicate effectively with shop floor personnel through reports and work instructions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in programming CNC mills.
- Knowledge of high-speed 5-axis machining of aluminum and steel parts.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM engineering software, specifically PTC Creo and others.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and solve engineering manufacturing problems.
- Experience with lean manufacturing practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for conveying information to personnel.
