Responsibilities
- Define product requirements and develop solutions for FSD functional performance
- Perform tolerance analysis, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and camera modeling using ANSYS SPEOS
- Develop designs in CAD for parts and master model assemblies
- Create 2D drawings for high-volume production and inspection
- Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews with suppliers
- Run validation tests and perform data analysis
- Provide production support to resolve issues
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Knowledge in sensor integration for vehicles, preferably with trucking platform experience
- Knowledge of design for plastic injection molded, sheet metal stamping, and cast parts
- Proficient in CAD, preferably CATIA
- Experience in drafting 2D drawings with GD&T
- Experience with FEA, preferably ANSYS
- Camera and lighting simulation experience in SPEOS or equivalent
