Responsibilities
- Engineer and develop interior lighting and switch assembly systems.
- Create designs integrating new technologies that meet design themes and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams for input during product development.
- Engage with stakeholders to balance form, function, performance, and cost.
- Direct engineering development with Tesla teams and suppliers.
- Maintain product development documentation.
- Support integration of interior lighting and switches with cross-functional teams.
Job Requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills with physics-based thinking.
- Familiarity with lighting, switch, and haptics technologies.
- Experience with complex assemblies, including PCBA and sensors.
- Knowledge of design for manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling, preferably in CATIA V5/V6.
- Understanding of prototyping and production techniques.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
