Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical point of contact for assigned parts and assemblies, addressing manufacturing and quality challenges.
- Own the new product introduction process for parts, including manufacturing method determination and supplier identification.
- Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews to ensure manufacturability of parts.
- Collaborate with procurement to identify and vet suppliers.
- Create specifications to communicate quality and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
- Scope out new technologies and suppliers to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Review and resolve issues related to assigned parts, implementing necessary changes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience with manufacturing and/or inspection of mechanical products.
- Understanding of propulsion/fluid systems and related manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, modeling, and GD&T.
- Knowledge of supplier quality processes and statistical techniques.
- Proficiency in MS Office and report writing.
- Ability to travel up to 40-50% of the work week.
