Responsibilities
- Design and develop Charge Port Door systems for Tesla vehicles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design/styling, body, and manufacturing.
- Support product launches and implement improvements to component functionality.
- Optimize designs based on manufacturing processes and material selections.
- Analyze CAE simulation results and integrate findings into product designs.
- Prototype using basic manufacturing principles and tools.
- Utilize CAD software for design tasks and Arduino for prototyping.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience in product development programs, especially with moving mechanisms.
- Understanding of design for injection molding and sensor systems.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements and work independently.
- Hands-on skills in manufacturing and assembly principles.
- Proficiency in CAD software and basic programming with Arduino.
