Responsibilities
- Develop combustion, heat transfer, and airflow models for thermal fault scenarios.
- Execute component safety and subsystem design verification plans.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to create realistic models and test plans.
- Guide product design with clear technical documentation.
- Optimize safety and functionality in mass-production stationary storage systems.
- Validate models and product adherence to requirements.
- Solve novel thermal design problems.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or related field.
- Experience modeling combustion events, including fire modeling.
- Motivation and ability to solve complex thermal design problems.
- Passion for renewable energy.
- Experience with Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS), STAR-CCM, or other CFD tools.
- Knowledge in lithium-ion battery fires.
- Strong fundamentals in combustion, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
