Responsibilities
- Component or system design responsibility from concept through production launch.
- Perform thermal/fluid reduced order modeling and feasibility studies.
- Develop and execute design validation plans and test methods.
- Hands-on engineering prototype builds and component fabrication.
- Collaborate with various teams to take designs from prototyping to mass production.
- Create high-quality drawing packages and manufacturing instructions.
- Root cause and solve test failures and production problems.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Demonstrated ability or willingness to learn CAD design and prototyping.
- Strong engineering fundamentals in heat transfer, fluids, mechanics, and electronics.
- Basic understanding of electrical design fundamentals and material science.
- Experience with thermal analysis and CFD, and software like CATIA V5 or V6.
- Detail-oriented with solid documentation and reporting skills.
- Experience with student projects like Formula Vehicle or Solar Car is a plus.
