Responsibilities
- Component or system design responsibility, from concept through production launch and ramp.
- Perform thermal/fluid reduced order modeling and feasibility studies to guide mechanical designs.
- Develop and execute component/subsystem design validation plans and test methods.
- Hands-on engineering prototype builds and component fabrication.
- Create high-quality drawing packages and manufacturing instructions.
- Collaborate with systems, electrical, supply chain, manufacturing, and reliability teams.
- Solve test failures and production problems while improving existing products.
Job Requirements
- Pursuing a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Demonstrated ability or willingness to learn CAD design and prototyping.
- Detail-oriented with solid documentation and reporting skills.
- Basic understanding of electrical design fundamentals and material science.
- Strong fundamentals in heat transfer, fluids, mechanics, and electronics.
- Experience with thermal analysis and CFD.
- Familiarity with CATIA V5 or V6 and programming in Matlab or Python.
