Internship, CMF Mastering, Design Studio (Winter/Spring 2026)

The internship role involves supporting the CMF Mastering Team at Tesla, focusing on the evaluation and management of materials and colors in vehicle design. Interns will work closely with suppliers and assist in ensuring design standards are met.

• Support all aspects of the color and material mastering process, including master creation and replenishment activities.
• Assist in supply chain development and troubleshooting to meet CMF Design intent.
• Track supply chain performance to ensure color and material masters align with production timelines.
• Conduct materials metrology research and implement best practices.
• Manage project timelines and deliver results under tight deadlines.
• Collaborate with team members to evaluate material appearances.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Color Science, Textiles, or a related discipline.
• Understanding of materials development and/or color quality assessment processes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, or Apple Numbers.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and quick learning aptitude.
• Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
