Responsibilities
- Full lifecycle ownership of the FPGA development process and implementation.
- Collaborate with systems, digital, and RF engineering to develop mission architectures.
- Develop and test high-reliability firmware for space-based environments.
- Participate in firmware requirements generation, design, implementation, and testing.
- Integrate FPGA implementations with concurrently developed software and hardware.
- Maintain and enhance existing solutions to improve performance.
- Support program or integrated product teams as needed.
Job Requirements
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in FPGA hardware development and VHDL programming.
- Experience with digital system architecture, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with FPGA development environments like Xilinx or similar.
- Knowledge of common data bus peripherals (I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet).
- Attention to detail in design and documentation.
