Responsibilities
- Translate requirements from stakeholders into engineering specifications and design tradeoffs.
- Define and communicate system architectures for complex machine designs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams through communication, technical guidance, and project management.
- Design industrial and automated equipment using sound engineering principles.
- Develop electromechanical packaging solutions involving various engineering constraints.
- Manage external partners contributing to larger system solutions.
- Optimize system performance for throughput and reliability.
Job Requirements
- Minimum B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with at least 8 years of experience; Master’s preferred.
- Ability to work independently towards medium and long-term objectives.
- Proficient in CAD for rapid design conceptualization.
- Strong fundamentals in machine design, including FEA and tolerance analysis.
- Experience with motion control or automation systems preferred.
- Familiarity with injection molding and DFM considerations.
- High proficiency in SolidWorks and related engineering tools.
