Responsibilities
- Act as the primary onsite electrical contact for cold rolling mill installations.
- Supervise installation and commissioning of automation and control systems (PLC/HMI), power distribution, and motor drives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control logic, motor performance, and instrumentation on site.
- Coordinate with mechanical, automation, and process teams for system integration.
- Interface with customers and subcontractors during site execution.
- Work with AC/DC drives, motors, MCCs, operator stations, and HMIs in high-automation environments.
- Travel extensively for site visits, typically 80% of the time.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical commissioning or field service, ideally in the steel/metals industry.
- Proven experience with PLC programming and HMI development.
- Familiarity with electrical systems used in cold rolling processes.
- Understanding of motor control systems and industrial sensors/actuators.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
