Responsibilities
- Own the manufacturing value chain for specific products, ensuring production capability at needed scale.
- Evaluate and prioritize supply chain and production optimizations to meet business output goals.
- Develop business cases for vertical integration or supply partnerships to enhance production scalability.
- Continuously assess make vs buy decisions for sub-assemblies and optimize production capabilities.
- Collaborate with contract manufacturers to establish repeatable processes for production and testing.
- Manage technical and commercial needs at operations partners to resolve production issues.
- Create documentation for manufacturing hardware at scale.
Job Requirements
- Degree in a technical field such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or systems engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in Operations, Process Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience in delivering electromechanical hardware in resource-constrained environments.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing hardware through various methods.
- Strong interest in Operations and driving improvements.
- Eligibility for U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred experience in assembly and testing of precision mechanisms and familiarity with quality systems like ISO 9001/AS 9100.
